Director, Center for Neuropsychiatric Research, National Health Research Institutes, Taiwan
Applications and nominations are invited for the position of Director of Center for Neuropsychiatric Research at the National Health Research Institutes (NHRI), Taiwan.
The missions of the Center include translational research on neuropsychiatric disorders and drug addiction, development of treatment strategies for major neuropsychiatric disorders and drug addiction in Taiwan, and training of the next generation of neuropsychiatrists. The Director is responsible for supervision and coordination of research programs within the Center, as well as for research collaboration with other sections of NHRI and outside institutions. Prospective candidates should have strong organizational, communicative, and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to interact effectively with others at all levels inside and outside of NHRI. Applicants should have a doctorate degree in biomedical sciences or related research fields and demonstrate a successful record of conducting and/or leading relevant interdisciplinary research.
Familiarity with Taiwan’s scientific and medical community, proficiency in the Chinese language, and the ability to work effectively in Taiwan’s research environment are preferred.
